MEMORIAL ROOM

The Memorial Room is located in the centre of Wizna in the building which used to be a primary school and afterwards a Municipal Office. It was opened on the 6th September 2009 at the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War. Since 17 May 1970 it was located in the Primary School in Wizna. We can see two exhibitions there. First is devoted to the defense of the Wizna divison in September 1939 and the second one is about the September 1939 battle in the north-east Poland.

The photograpy opening "Wizna September 1939" by Wiktor Wołkow is presented there as well Exhibits from the First and the Second World War for example photograps and things which belonged to the participants of the battles in Wizna are placed in glass cabinets. Most of these items come from the old Memorial Room in Primary School in Wizna.
